The online examination (Preliminary and Main) for the next Common Recruitment Process for selection of personnel for Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee posts in the Participating Organisations is tentatively scheduled in October / November 2020.

Following SBI footprints, IBPS has also modified its selection procedure for the recruitment. Now the selection will be based in three phases consisting of Online Preliminary and Main Exam and Interview.
Preliminary Examination will act as a screening test and is going to be very crucial for IBPS PO recruitment 2020.

IBPS PO 2020 Exam Pattern
IBPS PO 2020 exam is conducted in two phases – Preliminary exam and Main exam.
IBPS PO Prelims Exam Pattern
IBPS PO Prelims exam pattern is given below. Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing passing marks to be decided by the Bank. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank will be short listed for the Main Examination.

IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern
Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks having 155 questions. The test will be held online. In addition to this letter writing and essay is also given.

IBPS PO Interview
Candidates who have been shortlisted in the main examination for CWE PO/MT will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS.
The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). The weightage (ratio) of CWE (Main exam) and interview will be 80:20 respectively. The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the Main Examination of CWE PO/MT and Interview.
IBPS PO Final Allotment
A candidate should qualify both in the CWE and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process, details of which will be made available subsequently on IBPS website.
Only Quant, Reasoning and English in IBPS PO Prelims : Just like SBI PO, IBPS will also have questions from Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and English in Preliminary Exam.
Candidates should note that there is passing marks for each of the section. It is advisable that in order to qualify in each section, candidates should attempt at least 50 % of the questions.
